To our senior participants- we thank you for everything you have done for your schools and communities and wish you the very best in your bright futures. Freddy's Fun Facts: Falcons vs. Tigers Edition: Last fun fact for the night. Do you know what the fastest animal in the world is? (Hint: Despite common belief, it's actually *NOT* a cheetah!) Ready for it??? A peregrine falcon! They can reach speeds up to 242 mph while hunting!!! That's more than 6 times the speed of tigers, who only reach up to 40 mph. Come see our Falcon speed firsthand as we "FLY" past the Tigers in our final game tonight. Boys Varsity coming up in 5 minutes!
Girls Varsity dominating for a 77-52 final over the Mobridge Tigers. Congrats on the win Lady Falcons! 😄 Next GBB home game is this Thursday, 2/13 against Kadoka Area. See ya there!
Commanding first half by the Lady Falcons, leading 41-22. Come claim your spot soon—you don’t want to miss a second of this!
Amazing performances of the National Anthem and Lakota Flag Song by Oyate Beauvais and Trent “Andrew” Poignee respectively. What talented Falcons we have—maybe they can teach me how to sing, too! Girls Varsity game is now underway!
Freddy’s Fun Facts: Falcons vs. Tigers Edition: Falcons are diurnal birds of prey (or "raptors"), meaning we like to hunt during the day. The term raptor has Latin origins, relating to how we "seize" and "carry off" our prey. By contrast, tigers are nocturnal and prefer to sneak up on unsuspecting prey at night time. Sounds like we've got an extra advantage with today's early games so we can "seize" and "carry off" these wins! Let's hear your best Falcon battle cries!
Wow! What a finish! JV Boys take the win against Mobridge 41-38. Go Big Blue!
Boy’s JV leading 23-18 at the half. Good energy and excitement so far!
Freddy’s Fun Facts: Falcons vs. Tigers Edition: A group of falcons is called a cast, whereas a group of tigers is called a streak or ambush. However! Both are pretty solitary species and it is rare to find casts and streaks in the wild. Come on out and join the Falcon “Cast” at Ben Reifel Auditorium this afternoon as we continue to cheer on our Falcons! Boys JV game starts in 2 minutes!
Good end of game hustle and fight by the Lady Falcons! Final Girl’s JV score of 39-43, Falcons almost completing the comeback. Keep up the hard work ladies! :)
Girl's JV halftime score is 13-20, Falcons down by 7. Let's go Lady Falcons!
