Sight Words

The district has adopted the Frye Instant Word List as their common sight word resource. These words are listed on pages 51 through 57 in the 4th edition of The Reading Teacher’s Book of Lists. This resource was purchased and delivered to all existing literacy classrooms in the fall of 2008. Below are links to sight word lists that are formated for Avery Labels 5160 (30 labels to a page in 3-column format). These can be affixed to index cards for sight word cards or could also be printed on tag, but the cards would be rather small. Tracker forms have also been developed for you. All you need to do is enter or write student names across the top of each tracker form

Kindergarten
Words 1 through 25 (with five blank labels per page)

First Grade Words
Set One--Words 26 through 55,
Set Two--Words 56 through 85,
Set Three--Words 86-100 (2 sets per page)

Second Grade Words
Set One--Words 101 through 130,
Set Two--Words 132 through 160
Set Three--Words 161-190
Set Four--Words 191-200

Third Grade Words
Set One--Words 201 through 230,
Set Two--Words 232 through 260
Set Three--Words 261-290
Set Four--Words 291-300
